At last! The project-in-production I posted about last summer debuts in June on Bravo. Called Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, this "Project Runway with easels" sounds like great fun. I disagree with Gawker's Brian Moylan who argues that people in the art world won't watch because, among other reasons, many "don't even own televisions".
On the contrary, I predict my art-world colleagues will tune in enthusiastically--because who doesn't like seeing themselves (or their industry) simultaneously skewered and glorified? With contestants saying things like "I don't want to work with your poisonous attitude," it promises similar trashy fun as other competition programs. Bravo's official page for the show--with preview clip!--is here.

Art-world colleague that I am (was?), I'll be watching! Such fun . . . . thanks for posting the update.
